The very popular Kash N Kerry supermarket chain is spending 80k per store to improve technology within the store for mere faster ring up times....

Thats right folks, Florida's Fast, Fresh, and Friendly supermarket chain is improving their buying experience with 80 grand per store upgrages to their registeremail systems. Included in the buys are pentium 2 registers, a cisco systems server, 5 battery back up systems for the registers, a very cheezy lotus notes storewide e mail system, 2 instore DSL connections and to top it off 6 10 gig removable hard drives for customer information databases. With all these improvements the only real thing that got improved was the register response time and more database room. Sounds like KnK got ripped off to me.
