When hacking competitions go wrong

Was browsing through security articles and found the following:
"A hacking contest that promised 0,000 as first prize appears to have been weighted so heavily against competitors that some decided to hack the competition rather than the target server"

It's funny, a company runs a hacking contest but fails to secure the registration server. From Jeff Foxworthy "Here's your sign."
