The RIAA and MPAA's license to Hack

Interesting Stuff"A bill introduced into Congress gives copyright holders -- that's the RIAA, the MPAA, and similar guys -- the right to break into people's computers if they have a reasonable basis to believe that copyright infringement is going on. Basically, the bill protects organizations from federal and state laws if they disable, block, or otherwise impair a publicly accessible peer-to-peer network. "- From Counterpane

When I was a child I thought like a child, I acted like a child but now I'm an adult and I've given up childish things. At one point in time I actully thought an offensive firewall might be a good thing, but I quickly dismissed that idea when I figured out that packets would be spoofed and my offensive firewall could be turned against myself or who ever else the person attacking it wanted. If this bill is passed it will undermind the peoples right to privacy, and security. People will form "militia" against the enemy, be it the RIAA, the MPAA or what have you and we'll basically have our first information war, the people vs. the corporations, all because Congress passes a bill that was so incredibly childish, it's not even funny.
