The right path lock to security

In a recent article from the Register, they point out what I consider a joke for broadband security, and well as the register goes they say a lot without saying a lot.

It's a new device called "PathLock" which can be set on a timer. What's it do? It basically is an on/off switch for cat5 cable, not that this isn't a good idea, but you get the same effect when you attach a two dollar GE wall timer to your hub,switch,router, or cable modem.
