Home Depot to spend serious cash on products for HP
In today’s article from internet news, we’re told that HP and the Home depot have just made a deal. The Home depot is planning on spending millions of dollars on HP equipment to upgrade its current infrastructure in roughly 1,500 different stores. What the article doesn’t say is the over head created by all the extra IT staff needed to maintain all these new system is probably more then the big HD can afford, they’ve essentially paid for a bunch of PCs with out tech support. What happens when an exploit is discovered or an employee downloads a virus? Do you spend an extra dollar for that 2x4? Or do you shop the competition?
