Palladium, security for idiots

"Mingofmongo" from kuro5hin has made a great point regarding Palladium; He basically says that if someone wants to steal your information, they won't be using a computer; it's too big of a pain in the ass. The only exception is to the uninformed user who uses weak passwords like "password" and stores very important information on their computer and sends that information over the internet in an insecure manner.

If someone really wants to know something about you, they won?t be using a computer, they?ll probably break into your house, dig through your garbage, maybe even follow you around a bit.

Knowing this, you can see why Palladium/TCPA, a technology that many people have put lots of effort into really has no real use. The only exception of this is maybe Palladium will be able to prevent you from listening to music that you downloaded off the gnutella network.
