But I thought Apple was dead?

AppleAccording to a recent News Factor article by Robyn Weisman, Gartner analyst Tony Adams thinks Apples new Xserve “'the ultimate hosting machine”. According to this article the new Apple Xserve’s are compared to engines of BMW. This is because Apple creates both the hardware and the software that goes into each machine, which means that they alone are accountable for service and support. Also according to the same article the new Xserve’s 3 year service and support is priced very reasonably and goes for around 1,000$.

Note the system themselve are pretty expensive, going for at least 3,000 each while dell sells a barebones 1U Entry-level Server without operating system, monitor or operating system for 800.00.
