Today Apple computer announced that former vise president Al Gore has joined the companies board. I find it ironic that the day after Apple announced the end of it's gum drop shaped Imac, Al Gore, a person many consider to be one of worldest most famous “squares” has joined with the creative likes of Apples CEO Steve Jobs.

According to a wired news article, Gore was impressed with the companies new operating system OSX. This seems to be the only reason Gore has made the switch from a well known politician to little know member of Apple's Board of directors.
