In the past the music industry has been fighting with would be music pirates, with court orders, law suits, and information warfare; None of which have had any affect on the distribution of copy written music. And so the answer emerges, with pure Apple innovation to fuel the fire.
Yesterday Apple computer reported it's first weeks sales to a new service called Itunes. The service which sells music for about a dollar a song has sold over 1,000,000 songs this past week alone.“In less than one week we’ve broken every record and become the largest online music company in the world,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. If Napster had bounced back with a service like this they may have still been in business today.
