Michelle Delio recently wrote an interesting article for wired news. His artcle provides a humourus insight into what goes into the naming of new worms and viruses. Delio explains that antivirus engineerers that discover new virri some times have to look for inspiration else where when naming there recently discovered destructive code. Delio uses WM/Lunch.A;B;C as an example, in that case the researcher was eating lunch at the time of naming.

It’s amusing to think that A/V researchers name there discoveries with the same precision of a new pet.
