Microsoft making an Apple mistake.

MicrosoftAccording to an article written by Matthew Broersma for zdnet UK, Microsoft is working closely with bios manufacture Phoenix. According to Broersma, Phoenix will create Bios chips that better server the windows operating system. Basic features include DRM(Digital Rights Managment), and other features to make the windows operating system more stable.

I truely hope microsoft goes though with such a move, by doing making windows only work with certain bios, microsoft is limiting itself in cost, and manufacturing. This senario is very similar to Apple, as the Mac OS will only run on systems that have the Macintosh bios, thier are some companies that sell cloned macs, but they are far and few between because of the dificulty of emulating such a bios.
