Worth Mentioning today is Lacie Inc. who though slashdot.org today announced the introduction of a 1 TB external disk drive the size of a cable modem. This is quite a large step from traditional drives that to date have yet to break the 250 gigabyte mark.

It is too bad its transfer rate sucks with USB2. Can you
imagine how long it would take to transfer 1 terabyte of
data at only 34 MB/sec?
