More IE bugs

MicrosoftMore surprising news, today internetnews.com ran an article by Ryan Naraine which describes a new bug in Internet Explorer. According to Naraine the bug allows websites to “spoof” the file type the user downloads. For example, a user goes to www.virusinfo.com and opens from the download dialog box what he/she thinks is virus.txt a perfectly harmless text file. In reality the user has just executed virus.exe which is a malicious virus that will destroy there system. The work around Naraine says is to avoid using the open feature when downloading files in internet explorer.
